New Paintings every month August - December 2025! Before we lift a brush, we begin with the heart of this work - the why beneath the layers. What is Wabi-Sabi? Wabi-Sabi is a Japanese aesthetic that embraces the beauty of imperfection, impermanence, and the incomplete. It honors the worn, the weathered, the raw, and the real. Rather than striving for perfection, Wabi-Sabi invites us to find meaning in the cracks, to celebrate the aging, the fading, the  honest mess of life. It tells us: "You don't need to fix everything. You just need to see it clearly - and love it anyway. Wabi-Sabi in Art In this class, we explore how Wabi-Sabi lives in our paintings through: - Distressed textures and worn edges - Softness over sharpness - Muted tones against bright color - Symbols of fragility and strength- like cracks that let light in. - Letting go of control and letting the piece speak for itself. This is not art that shouts. This is art that whispers - but its voice is strong. Is This Class For Beginners? Yes!
